Creating a nourishing mindset as a musician can sometimes feel … vague. At least it has for me! We are so good at executing systems, diligently drilling scales and chords, and working with our tuners and metronomes, but oftentimes mindset work can fall on the back burner. We know it will support our goals and playing on stage, but it can be challenging to create new habits around supporting our mindset.
Imagine feeling:
Energized calm every time you pick up your instrument;
Confident that you can identify and solve problems in your playing;
Resilient and determined in the face of setbacks;
Excited to put yourself out there in auditions, lessons, and performances;
Freedom to create authentic music free from whatever box they have told you to fit into.
That’s where this workshop comes in! Rather than creating a new mindset practice out of thin air, I will teach you simple strategies to add it right into your daily practicer routine. Five minutes here, thirty seconds there, and, before you know it, you have a mindset practice that will bolster your confidence and resilience while performing!
In this workshop, we will cover:
The vagus nerve and why breathwork is the simplest way to increase vagul tone;
Neuroplasticity and how to replace old, negative thought patterns with new neural connections that actually help you feel GOOD when you’re practicing;
Metacognition and how to reframe thoughts without judgement or shaming so you can effectively solve problems in your playing.
I’ll give you simple, actionable strategies that you can incorporate into your daily practice sessions. Just as your technique becomes more fluid and controlled over time, so too will your internal narrative when you practice these mindset tools day after day.
You are the only one who can create a safe, nurturing environment for your creativity. I’m here to help and support you on that path.
I can’t wait to see you there!
Play on. I’m cheering for you.
