About Katie Frisco
As a graduate of the esteemed Eastman School of Music (BM, MM) and Interlochen Arts Academy, I have been privileged to study with the best flutists, chamber musicians and conductors in the country. These dedicated teachers poured into me not only the fundamentals of flute playing and musicianship, but they also equipped me as a performing artist to bring my authentic voice into the world.
I am honored to continue this beautiful tradition by guiding flutists each week as they delve into the dedicated work of practicing music.
I believe in unlocking the musical potential within my students by equipping them with solid fundamentals, exposing them to great performances, and encouraging each student to develop and trust their own unique, creative voice. With over 20 years of teaching experience as well as being a mother to three children of my own, I have a special ability to reach the heart of my students to draw out their greatest potential.
